Pay Equality | Nov 2019

‘Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.’ In November @dantenewyorkcity ran a one week promotion to raise the awareness of the gender gap, between men and women.
There has been so much discussion of equality not just in our industry, but more generally, that we wanted to use this platform to illustrate just how real the issue is. Although the overwhelming majority of the response was positive (87% woohoo!) we were still cut down on social media by haters defying the cause as a guarantee we would lose our customers. If anything, this alone proved how important our cause is, and the importance of addressing these issues of equality in our industry, and in every workplace.
We’re proud to stand arm in arm with our sisters, who not only make the industry the great place it is, but are the reason bars such as Dante are as magical as they are.
We’re donating funds @nycshoeboxproject & @shoeboxproject - a charity that collects and distributes shoeboxes to local women impacted by homelessness.
